2021 Annual Christmas dinner

Come join us this holiday season at our annual Christmas dinner scheduled for Saturday December 11th, 2021!

Each year our club holds a dinner party and fundraiser to celebrate our club fellowship and accomplishments.   This event is also our only annual opportunity to raise much-needed funds for the coming year.

The dinner event will be hosted in the banquet room at Riverside Community Center.  The facility has ample well-lit parking and is fully handicap accessible.

This year will be particularly special as we have so much more to celebrate.  New friendships, new opportunities and new experiences. 

Our fundraising auction items come from businesses and individuals from around the country that have donated their hard-earned items.  All generously donated so that we can raise money to continue operating and growing our wonderful club.

Dinner will be catered by Olive Garden and served buffet-style.  Members and their families/spouses are all welcome to attend.  Dinner cost is $ 20/per person.   To register, just click this link to sign up for this event on our club website.

It is important that you register as soon as possible if you plan to attend.

Evening Schedule

6:00pm - Silent auction opens

6:30pm - Olive Garden Dinner Buffet opens

7:30pm - Announcements, Recognitions and General Club News

8:00pm - Chance Auction Drawings 

8:30pm - Silent auction closes, winners announced and payments collected.

9:00pm - Hugs, Handshakes and Clean up

Tables and seating will be set with greater spacing and distance. 

Chance Auction

Instead of a gift exchange, we are asking each member to bring something nice that is handmade or creative to donate to our Chance Auction.

If it is handmade, it can be made by anyone in your family.  It doesn't even have to be a woodturning. 

Or put together a nice date-night basket with a bottle of wine, some popcorn and a classic movie DVD.  Or a dinner-out basket with gift cards to dining and entertainment.  Be creative! Then bring it with you to add to the Chance Auction that evening. 

Each item will be staged on a table with it's own ticket bucket.  Throughout the evening, everyone can buy tickets to put in the various buckets for items they want the chance to win.  See something you really like?  Throw all your tickets in one bucket.  Or spread your odds across several.  

Each bucket will have one winning ticket drawn during the chance auction drawings.

Each item will have a clipboard where you can write down your name and bid amount.   At the end of the evening, the highest bid for each item wins that item. 

We've got items donated from Hunter Tools, Robust Tools, Woodturners Wonders, Framing Wholesalers, Cold Comfort Pottery and Pens, AbleMods Web Hosting and lots more!

Event Miscellaneous Details

Please contact any club officer if you wish to attend but have special dietary needs.  We will do our best to accommodate you.  

You can still participate in the Chance Auction even if you have not donated an item.  

No alcohol will be served or permitted on the premises during this event.

Volunteers for the setup, the event and the cleanup are all needed.  Please contact any club officer to offer your assistance as soon as possible.

Deadline for refundable cancellations is one week prior to the event date.

A donation to the club in lieu of attending the dinner event would be gladly accepted.
