Let's have a party!  A Pen Party to be exact!

On Saturday Feb 3rd 2024, from 8am to 2:30pm, we are holding a nearly-all-day pen turning party at the club workshop.  There will be fun, prizes and my own shining sense of humor the entire day.  There is no cost to members and we're even throwing in lunch.  You can't beat free food while performing unpaid manual labor.

We need folks for every stage of creating a pen including:

• Gluing tubes into pen blanks
• Sanding the blanks on disc sander
• Turning and finishing pen barrels
• Assembling pen kits into the finished pen

Each of these positions are available for signup.  Just register for this event and choose the position you want to fill.  Each stage has a limited number of positions.  

Some of these positions are a seated task and are so noted in the registration description.  So if you have difficulty standing for an extended period, you can still help us!  Just choose one of those seated tasks where you can be comfortable helping out.

If you're new to woodturning, we will be rotating people from position to position a few times throughout the day.  This is the perfect chance for you to get real hands-on experience with every stage of producing a wood-turned pen.   Heck I might even give you a really nice pen kit to turn and take home with you if you say something nice to me in the morning.  My need for attention has no shame!
